Personality: Acts like a tough guy, but can be very goofy. She tends to take serious situations, such as her father's death, lightheartedly to keep it from getting to her. She loves to fight and loves a good challenge. Most people who meet her are afraid of her, but admire her as a person. She is quick witted and sharp as a sword tip. Her biggest weakness is probably the fact that she keeps everything hidden and never let's anyone in. Sometimes, too, she lets her temper get the best of her and makes rash decisions that are pretty catastrophic to her and usually those around her.
Biography: Mana was born at a smaller hospital in London. Unfortunately, her mother was never supposed to have children, so when she had Mana she got sick and eventually died. Gabriel, Mana's father, never blamed the child, but instead loved her all the more. He decided that nothing was keeping him in London, so he used a part of the family fortune to buy himself a ship and he took Mana and the closest of his friends sailing around the world.
In doing that, they got into many a precarious situation and earned themselves the title, "The Last Pirates" and became some of the most hunted men in the seven seas. All the while, however, Gabriel spent most of his time raising his young daughter, teaching her everything she needed to know about sword fighting and life. She was a quick study and soon became wise in the ways of most things. She and her father had a strong bond, and soon the men aboard the ship would become her family.
Just when the girl had become very comfortable and happy with her life, her father decided to once again return to London, looking grim as he did. She was nine years old when this happened. When she would ask him why, he would smile and assure her things were alright, but they were as far from alright as could be. He got to London and begged his only living relative and his brother, Tom, to take care of Mana while he tried to fix his mistakes. Tom reluctantly agreed and Mana was heartbroken as she watched her father sail off. That would be the last time Mana would ever see her father because later his ship was bombed down by an angry Chinese mob.
Mana lived in anger and sadness at first, after learning the truth of it all. But soon her barrier was broken as her uncle Tom and his adopted child, Mithos, who was the same age as her, broke her shell and got her to open up to see the possibilities for the rest of her life. But her life would change, yet again, as Tom would be called to duty in Japan. At the age of 15, Mana was excited about the possibility of seeing a new place. She had heard many good things about Japan and London was becoming smothering to her. She didn't know what lied ahead, but she had a feeling that whatever was drawing her to Japan with such happiness, had to be something that would change her life forever.
Attire: Her school uniform consists of a beige skirt ((which she hates)) that comes about mid-thigh with a matching blazer and white under shirt. She wears a black tie which she has customized herself with different cultured crosses. With this all she wears the usual thigh high socks which she also customized with a different cross, and high heels. When she is just trying to relax, he can usually be seen wearing a pair of ragged black jeans with a large belt that can hold her pistol and her sword. The buckle is a gold skull and crossbones and her knee high black boots cover the bottoms of her pants in the traditional pirate style. For a shirt she will wear a light white t-shirt with a little midriff and a short black coat to go over with pirate insignia on it. This outfit comes in beige, black, or denim.
Strengths: Swordsmanship and Gun fighting. She is an excellent marksman and a fierce adversary. In the beginning, she would act on impulse. But she has gotten better about using her head and the ability to see spirits. She is also a very logical and tactical thinker when she needs to be.
Weaknesses: Denial, refusal to back down no matter what, stubborn ness, and the subject of her father.
Likes: Music (she's a big music junkie), junk food, kung fu movies, coffee, and finding the right sparring partner. Most of the time all of this is had when she hangs with Mithos.
Dislikes: Whiners, Complainers, People who are “too” happy or hyper, homework, Mexican food or Indian food, People yelling, or any “pet” names that people will give her.
Favourite food: Chicken Cannoli.
Least favourite food: Anything Mexican or Indian. Makes her sick.
Bad habits: Bottling things up, self doubt in some areas, making light of things, etc.
Speech: Fluent in most languages. Excels in English, Japanese, Spanish, and German. Her French is a little slurred but she is well spoken of that too. She also speaks Russian, Pakistanian, and Scottish. She isn’t much in Chinese, but she tires.
Quote: “Der.” “Deal with it.” “Get over it and do what needs to be done!” “Oy!”

Family:
Thomas Covenant -Uncle. She’s not fond of him to begin with, but soon warms up. He took her in after her father sailed off for the final time. Mana would be forever grateful to him when she got over her sorrow. While in England, Tom did everything he could for his adopted children, providing top education and teaching them all that he knew. Mana took to gun slinging this way. Often Tom will have to question his decision when Mana and Mithos would be at each other's throats. But he knows it is just because they love each other. His personality much resembles that of the great white hunter, Allan Quatermain.
Mithos- Adopted brother. He was already there when Mana got there. From what she had gathered, he was adopted when a good friend of Tom's asked him to take Mithos. But Tom never told anymore about it. He helped Mana come out of her anger and sorrow by annoying her to death. Soon they became fast friends and fierce adversaries. Mana and Mithos can always be seen sparring against each other and competing in everything. But deep down, they have a deep love for each other and really look at each other as siblings.
Gabriel Covenant: Father. Deceased. He was always a free spirited boy. He was always getting into trouble and Tom would have to bail him out. The boys were always close in their childhood and would have given their lives for one another. Gabriel always admired his brother greatly. One day while in college, he met a beautiful, timid girl and instantly fell in love. He asked her to marry him after only a few months of dating her. She bore him one child and died in childbirth. He was devastated and soon London was nothing but a bad memory to him. So he took the girl and sailed away forever, deciding to raise the girl properly on his own. He made many stops and met many people, but soon earned the title “Pirate” because of most of his rash decisions. But he raised Mana and gave her opportunity available. His name may have been drug through the mud, but hers was strong and proud. One day, he got into some trouble and decided that she was not safe with him anymore. He took her to the one person he knew he could trust to raise her right, his brother, Tom. Then he left, only to be killed a week later by a Chinese sub.
Emma Hughes-Covenant: Mother. Deceased. She grew up with a normal family but a timid life. She was always prone to sickness and viruses. She thought that no one would ever love her until Gabriel came along. She swore in her last moments that Mana was her greatest achievement and that her life was then complete.
