Mithos laughed, shaking his head a little. "You know, I think you're right." He said, a fake look of shock plastering itself over his features. "In retrospect, despite everything, I don't regret that party - Not even the hangover I had the next morning. I'm telling you, I've never drank so much in my life as I did that night. Your fault, by the way." He added jokingly.

"It was not my bloody fault. You got me drunk first, you bastard. Then you drugged yourself to fix what you had reaped. And you call it my fault? Not my fault that you had no idea what you were getting yourself into when you fed me all that liquor." Ren laughed slightly, as he finally saw his sister wander back through the crowd. She smiled and set a flute down in front of him, and Ren gave her a flat look. "Oh be quiet silly, it's virgin." Jun smiled and sat down again, quite obviously a little bit tipsy. Ren stared it down. "They don't make virgin champagne." Jun blinked, then giggled. "Then it's sparkling cider. No alcohol in it, Lian." Ren obviously didn't seem to trust it, as he pretty much just let it sit there. Even if he sniffed it an it smelled of apple... he still doubted he'd try it without a willing and honest guiney pig.

Mithos eyed the glass in front of Ren with a small smile, reminded terribly of that party again, only now they were responsible adults, right? The thought made him smile again, as he reached out. "If you're that worried, I'll try it - and I promise I won't try and get you drunk this time." He joked, tilting his head to the side.

Ren was willing to trust him. Mithy hadn't known what he was doing, last time, getting him drunk and all. Now they were older and wiser. Besides, Mithy had little desire for him, anymore? Certainly he no longer felt the urge to sleep with him. Ren had just sort of hoped that his feelings had subsided, since he'd been keeping his own, like a lion under lock and key. Ren wasn't quite sure if Mithy provoked them, he could keep them down. In the back of his mind he knew... He'd really loved Mithy back in highschool. Being so out-of-tune with his emotions had allowed him to push it aside when they parted and Mithy left for the army. He'd never really intended nor expected, to see him again.

Mithos smiled softly as he picked up Ren's glass and sipped at the drink, nodding as he set it back down on the table. "Definately no alcohol in that." He said simply, pilfering a full champagne flute from a passing waiter with a smile. "Trust me - as fun as getting you drunk was all those years ago, I think we're a little more grown up now, don't you?"

"I'm sure you can't blame me for being a little wary of lookalike alcoholic drinks." Ren said, taking a sip of what was, indeed, sparkling cider. "Fun, you call it? Oh, I see your motives now." Ren smirked playfully, while lightly swirling his drink. "Adults? Sure, i'd like to think so. Course, I used to think we were mature in high school, till you had that crazy party idea. Yes... maybe we are smarter now." Ren took another sip and Jun just sort of smiled. It was so nice to see Ren with friends<3

Mithos sniggered, sipping at his champagne. "It was a perfectly good idea. Putting the theory into practice, however, did prove to be a little tricky." He admitted with a lazy shrug. "You do have to admit, though, it was fun."

Ren smirked lightly, looking down at his beverage. The party had been fun... a lot of fun. And in the months that passed it, Ren had been able to remember bits and pieces of their night while they were drunk. It was a sight that would make a porno look child-friendly.
"Hmph. I suppose, yea, I suppose it was fun." Ren smirked. He didn't even have to ask which part, for there was only one occurance to which he could be reffering. "Sometimes, I almost miss our youth." Ren rubbed the back of his neck. He hadn't meant it to imply that he missed screwing with Mithos, but it certainly came out that way.

"Some would call it a misspent youth." Mithos mused, sipping at his drink every now and again with a smile permanently fixed upon his face. "Say, Ren. Would you like to go for a coffee when this party's over?"

"Hm? Sure." Ren said, taking a moment to think about his plans for the night. He didn't have anything important to do. And of course, this being Japan, he was staying at a hotel anyways, so it wasn't like he was immediately departing for home. Jun just nodded when he looked at her, to make sure she could keep order by herself. Ren wasn't quite sure why Mithy was smiling, but he figured he'd find out eventually. "The party ends pretty soon, doesn't it? It's already late, I think the old bas-" Ren was cut off by a loud cough on Jun's part. "...He's going to say his thanks to the guests and let us disperse. About time, I'd say."

Mithos nodded sagely, waving a hand towards the podium at the other end of the room, to which a rather frail looking, but undoubtedly stupidly rich, old man stepped up. He thanked his guests profusely, and for quite some time, until people started drifting off. "Right, then. Time to be off."

Ren looked away from the old coot as he got up. "I'm sure, he's going to make a playboy model very happy some day." Ren said, as he left with Mithos and his sister. Jun split from them at the door, and went home to the apartment in the limo. Ren stayed with Mithos, and looked up at the englishman. "So, where exactly are we going? Not familiar with this part of town."

"Mine, of course." Mithos said with a smile, setting off. His home was a good five minute's walk, but at this time of night, he'd rather walk than get a taxi. It was certainly easier. "Best coffee in town, after all."

"Hmph, really? Y'know, i've never had your coffee. Think the only time I was over, Mana brewed. 'Course, I also disliked coffee back then. Now, I just drink it with a bit of milk." Ren said. A bit of milk indeed, if a bit qualified for 50% of the beverage. Ren often times needed to warm the milk first, just so he didn't get lukewarm coffee...
They made it to Mithy's place in short time, and Ren was surprised he lived so conveniently close to such a palatial estate. But, Ren was not about to argue. The stepped inside and Ren looked about, pleased with the place. It wasn't gargantuan, but, Mithy was living alone, why did it need to be?

"It's not much, but it's home." Mithos said humbly, slipping off his huge greatcoat and throwing it with a practiced ease onto the coat stand in the corner, never stopping as he headed for the kitchen. "You'll like my coffee." He stated, with no reasoning as to why. It was just... A fact.

Ren hadn't brought a coat, he was just in a suit. Japan was warmer than China was, anyways. Ren unbuttoned his blazer and slipped it off, letting it hang alongside Mithy's coat on the hanger. Now Ren was just in simple black pants, black tie, and a crimson dress shirt.
"Gee, you're awefully confident." Ren said as he joined Mithy in the kitchen, leaning over by the coffee pot. The smell of coffee was so sweet, Ren often wondered how it was the beans came out so bitter. He was no coffee conneaseur, so he never really had quite enough interest to bother looking into why. Ren's butt stuck itself forwardly in the middle of the kitchen aisle as he leaned over.

"Trust me." The englishman said simply, leaning across Ren and picking up the coffee pot, pulling it back towards him where he had two plain white mugs sat on the worktop. Pouring the coffee, he motioned to the bottle of milk and bowl of sugar beside them before adding two sugars to his own.

Ren added no sugar, but did proceed to pour in milk until the glass was nearly full. And then when he stirred it, he sipped off the top and added more milk until he was satisfied. Ren then nodded in approval. "That is pretty good. Guess I can believe you now. You're not just boasting... it's actually delicious." Ren was impressed. Very few times was he actually moved to compliment the chef. It took something really good to get a compliment out of Ren.
"So, hey, something seemed to make you pretty happy back at that party. Surely couldn'tve just been the fact it was nearly over, right?"

"Told you." Mithos said smugly, firmly ensconced in one of the huge armchairs that sat in front of the fire in his living room. At Ren's question, he shrugged. "Seeing you again hasn't exactly put a downer on my day." He admitted, sipping at his coffee. "I think I just missed sitting and talking with someone I've known a long time. Does that make sense to you?"

Ren came over with his mug and took the adjacent armchair, remembering the last time he'd been forced into an armchair at Mithy's. His soft blush was thankfully covered by the glow of the fire place.
"It does. Just seemed sort of sudden. Must've finally set in, or something. True, you probably saved me a horrible death of boredom had I not bumped into you. My God how I hate those type of functions. It may as well have been a civilized version of your party."
